Since its establishment in 1792, The United States Mint has earned a reputation as one of the premier sources of precious metal bullion products in the world, featuring products that celebrate the history, iconic symbols, and rich culture of this great nation. Admirers of these designs will be delighted to know that many timeless classics have been revitalized as bullion rounds, for a fraction of what the original versions cost. Now, collectors and investors alike can own these beautiful pieces at an affordable price.

At Provident, we’re proud to offer a wide array of silver and copper rounds from the US Mint that feature these classic numismatic designs. Below are 13 popular pieces and the history of each motif:

  1. The Texas Commemorative Round (Silver & Copper): Introducing our newest addition to the Provident round lineup! This is a beautiful recreation of the 1934-1938 Texas Centennial Commemorative Half Dollar.
  2. Peace Dollar Round (Silver & Copper): Originally minted from 1921-1935, the Peace Silver Dollar’s design was inspired by the conclusion of World War I.
  3. Highland Mint Saint Gaudens Round (Silver): This may very well be the most famous design in American gold coinage, thanks to its use on the Double Eagle from 1907-1933 and the Gold Eagle from 1986-present.
  4. Walking Liberty Round (Silver & Copper): If the Saint-Gaudens motif is the most famous design in gold, the Walking Liberty design on the American Eagle is the most well-known design in silver.
  5. Highland Mint Seated Liberty Round (Silver): Six different silver coins featured this design from the 1830s through 1891, making it one of America’s most prolific coinage themes.
  6. Highland Mint Kennedy Round (Silver): This round closely follows the design of the John F. Kennedy Half Dollar, which is produced for circulation to this day.
  7. Morgan Dollar Round (Silver & Copper): Morgan Dollars, struck from 1878-1921, are among the most famous of all American coins.
  8. Capped Bust Round (Copper): This motif was used in the early 19th century; Liberty’s cap is the ancient Greek symbol of freedom from slavery.
  9. Lincoln Cent Round (Copper): No American coin is as plentiful and widely produced as the Lincoln cent – making it a perennial favorite with collectors.
  10. Incuse $5 Indian Round (Silver & Copper): Only two American coins have ever been struck with an incuse design: the $2.50 and $5.00 Indians. This round mimics the design of the latter.
  11. Mercury Dime Round (Copper): Mercury Dimes were struck from 1916 through 1945. These collectibles are avidly sought-after by collectors and investors alike for their attractive design and relative affordability.
  12. Standing Liberty Quarter Round (Copper): Along with the Mercury Dime and Walking Liberty Half Dollar, the “SLQ” was one of three silver coins to receive a redesign in 1916. It was last made in 1930.
  13. Flowing Hair Dollar Round (Copper): If you’ve never seen this design, there’s a good reason: Flowing Hair Silver Dollars were only made for two years in 1794 and 1795!
