Introducing the 10 oz Silver Maple

Provident is happy to present the newest product from the Royal Canadian Mint: the 2017 10 oz Silver Maple. This silver coin is the latest in the Canadian Silver Maple series, which has been produced annually since 1988. The maple leaf is internationally recognized as a symbol of Canada. Featuring the iconic leaf, this series of coins is favored around the world due to the high quality standards and security features used during production.

Most Silver Maple coins come in the standard one ounce size, but this latest version is made of 10 troy ounces of .9999 fine silver. In addition to the unique weight, this coin also carries the highest legal tender value of any silver bullion coin. The face value is $50, however the silver content is worth much more.

Like other Silver Maples, this 10 oz version features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. The reverse showcases two sugar maple leaves, a species of maple that is native to Canada. The larger canvas of this coin allows the detailed sculpt by artist Celia Godkin to truly shine.

Precise radial lines circle around the coin’s rim as a form of security and authenticity. The coin also includes a micro-engraved maple leaf-shaped privy mark with a “17” inside of it to denote the year of issue.

Don’t miss your chance to own this brand new release from the RCM. The 10 oz Silver Maple makes a great addition to any bullion collection with a focus on nature and Canadian coinage. This coin is currently on Pre-Sale; we expect to begin shipping the 10 oz Silver Magnificent Maple Coin March 9, 2017.
