Use these easy solutions to ensure you don’t overshare information. If you have an iPhone, you can turn off exif data by doing the following:
- Tap your settings tile
- Choose “privacy”
- Choose “location settings”
- Choose “camera”
- Make sure the settings are set to “never”
If you have an Android, you can use the following steps:
- Swipe right to find the “options” menu
- Choose “settings”
- Make sure the “save location” option is turned off
If you have taken photos before making these changes, you can use a photo sharing site like Imgur which strips all exif data upon uploading.
