China Sourcing US Energy
The China National Petroleum Corp is planning to import more crude oil and natural gas from America, along with possibly participating in America’s growing liquefied natural gas industry. Chairman Wang Yilin said that the company will consider cooperating in the development of liquefied natural gas facilities. This comes after a trade deal between China and the US was announced last Thursday that involved some of these energy sources. China is the world’s biggest energy user and the country is now becoming more reliant on imported supplies due to plummeting production.
