New Angels and Demons Releases: Rosamond and Simeon

The Steampunk Angels and Demons series of silver rounds from the Osborne Mint continues with the fourth release! Following angels Theodosia the Femme Fatale, Louvenia the Explorer, and Delphine the Aristocrat, we introduce Rosamond the Flight Attendant. And following demons Cornelius the Fighter, Thaddeus the Aviator, and Gregorio the Dandy, we meet Simeon the Steamship Captain.

When complete, the series will include six angels and six demons, for a total of twelve designs. Each design is brilliantly displayed on a 1 oz .999 fine silver round, which come in both proof and vintage finishes. Designed by sisters Ana and Mercedes Hidalgo of Studio Kawaii, the obverse of each round in the series features an angel or demon dressed in a steampunk-themed outfit with a suitable setting behind them.

Rosamond, the fourth angel in the series, poses next to a bi-wing airplane holding a wrench. This mechanic angel has jointed wings that fold down, allowing her to fit into tight spots in order to perform mid-air repairs on planes. She wears a utility belt and goggles that boost her vision while in flight, both in planes and using her own wings.

Simeon, the fourth demon in the series, is a steamship captain who is seen swinging from the rigging of his ship. He lost a leg in an epic battle with a deep sea kraken, so he wears a prosthetic leg and an eyepiece. Simeon enjoys the thrill of the fight and is often seen brandishing his pistols while readying for battle with foes of his ship.

The shared reverse of the series prominently displays the “Angels and Demons” logo inside of a border of gears and hardware, which are iconic accessories in the steampunk genre. This side also has inscriptions of the Osborne Mint mintmark and the round’s weight and purity.
