During the holidays our thoughts turn gratefully toward those who have made our progress possible, our customers. And like many other companies, we’ve always done our best every year to give back to as many of you as possible, with a gift or holiday promotion.
This year, we thought we’d try something new. We’ve chosen to donate to a few of the most charitable organizations serving Dallas/Fort Worth and the nation as a whole, with the hope of spreading true holiday cheer to those who otherwise may not have had a Merry Christmas.
Meals on Wheels
Provident Metals was proud to deliver its donation to the Collin County chapter of the Meals on Wheels Association of Texas, which will provide holiday meals to senior members of the local community.
Meals on Wheels is a national organization (with local chapters) that serves senior citizens by delivering warm meals, and visits, each and every day.
You can become a Meals on Wheels volunteer if you’d like; assemble and deliver meals, offer administrative support, help out at special events and more.
You can also make a financial contribution online. To find your local Meals on Wheels program, visit http://www.mowaa.org/findameal today.
94.9 KLTY Christmas Wish
94.9 KLTY has donated more than $6.9 million to Dallas/Fort Worth communities in the last ten years. These funds are used to grant holiday wishes to local families and individuals in need.
Provident has made donations to the 94.9 KLTY Christmas Wish Program for the last two years, and our employees hand-deliver many of the gifts, from wrapped toys and clothes, to hot water heaters.
To take part this season, or to learn more, visit http://www.klty.com/christmaswish.php today. If you would like to nominate a deserving family, send an email to Christmas.Donation@KLTY.com
Jonathan’s Place
Jonathan’s Place is an emergency shelter that provides temporary residential care and specialized services to children who have been abandoned or removed from their homes by Child Protective Services.
Provident Metals employees have donated much-needed supplies to Jonathan’s Place this Christmas and you can too!
You can make a donation online, which helps provide life-saving services to children who have been victims of abuse or neglect, or donate a variety of new and gently used items to the organization.
Thank you for your business, it is through your patronage that we have been able to make the monetary and service contributions necessary to make Christmas special for thousands of others. It has been an honor serving you this year and a pleasure giving back this Christmas.
~Merry Christmas from all of us at Provident Metals

Just stumbled onto your blog. I realize the Holiday season is long gone, but wanted to add a comment. None of my orders with Provident were predicated on my becoming eligible for a promotional gift. I shop those sites that I believe give me best value and security for my money. I think its great that you’ve chosen to allow us to be silent partners in your gift giving. I feel blessed that I am able to pursue my hobby, and want to thank you for the opportunity to pay forward. As a disabled Vietnam vet, might I suggest that an organization such as Wounded Warrior Project be given some consideration for future endeavors of this kind. Thanks, again, and God bless your efforts.

I was so looking forward from a christmas gift from Provident, I made the majority of my purchases in 2014 through provident to qualify for the christmas gift and I was disappointed. I will now need to re-think my purchase strategy for 2015. I can appreciate that you decided to make a donation to a cause you think worth in your local area. But that doesn’t help my neighboorhood nor does it help me reach my retirement goals and theirs no reason why you couldn’t do both. If I have known of this change in policy, I would not of almost exclusively shopped at Provident Metals in 2014.

We did not just make a donation to a local charity. We made significant contributions to Meals on Wheels (National Organization), KLTY Christmas Wish (Regional Organization), and Jonathan’s Place (National Charity). With these contributions we were able to help feed hundreds of hungry seniors, change the lives of more than a dozen deserving families, and donate desperately needed necessities to countless children who have very little to look forward to. We made the decision to spend our holiday gift giving budget on those who were truly in need this year. We really appreciate your business, and apologize for disappointing you this Christmas.
