The American Eagle Silver Coin – Various Options
Arguably the most prominent symbol of America in the silver bullion market is the American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin. The world’s best-selling silver bullion coin, the American Eagle has been available in 1 oz silver since 1986. The series has long featured Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic Walking Liberty image on the obverse, but as of mid-2021, it now features a new reverse image of the American bald eagle designed by Emily Damstra.
Provident Metals offers up three different options when you look to buy the American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin this 4th of July. Two of these options come from our Special Occasion Silver Eagle Series, options that include a 2022 American Eagle Silver Coin sealed in a clamshell card with a special design. In this series, you’ll find the following options:
- 2022 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin Blue American Flag Card
- 2022 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin Black Camo American Flag Card
Each one of these options features a 2022 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin sealed in plastic and surrounded by a Special Occasion Card. The Blue American Flag Card features a blue card with the red, white, and blue of the American flag at the top of the design. The Black Camo Flag Card has a black card with a camouflage American flag at the top.
If that’s not what you’re looking for, perhaps a Certified 2020 (P) American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin is up your alley. This particular coin was issued by the United States Mint at its Philadelphia Mint branch during an emergency release in 2020 to help meet demand during the COVID-19 pandemic. These coins come with a unique American Flag label card inside the slab.
Showcase the Stars and Stripes
If you have an undying love for the important symbolism of Old Glory, SilverTowne Mint has something for you. One of America’s largest private mints, SilverTowne has a long-running American Flag Silver Bar Series. The bars in this collection all have one important thing in common. The obverse side of the bars offers a landscape orientation for the design field that accurately depicts the beauty of the American flag. The field of 50 stars and 13 stripes come together in a beautiful minted silver ingot. Options in this series include the following:
- 10 oz Silver American Flag Bar
- 5 oz Silver American Flag Bar
- 1 oz Silver American Flag Bar
- 1 oz Colorized American Flag Bar
While all of these bars have the same visuals, the last one listed above arguably stands out in the group. This particular silver bar has a hand-applied, colorized enamel that delivers the brilliant colors of the American flag. The blue field in the upper corner has 50 white stars, while the 13 stripes alternate between the accurate red and white colors.
Honor Our National Symbols
In addition to the American silver mentioned above, there are other examples of American-themed silver bullion available this year. Consider the 2022 Solomon Islands Statue of Liberty 2 oz Silver Coin. This beautiful, limited-edition release offers a shaped silver coin in the form of the Statue of Liberty. The image of Liberty appears on the reverse and boasts a beautiful, colorized American flag wrapped around her figure.
History of July 4th
The American Revolution was a period of massive change in the political landscape of North America. From 1765 to 1791, the colonists of British North America went from subjects of a tyrannical king on another continent to free people guiding their own destiny with a new form of a representative, democratic government. The Revolutionary War itself was fought from 1775 to 1783, and the United States was formally established with the full ratification by all states of the Constitution of the United States of America in 1788.
However, it is the adoption of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress that marks the birth of America. On July 4, 1776, the delegates of the Second Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence, a document that sent the message to King George III and the United Kingdom that the American people were united, free, and independent of the crown’s control. Today, July 4th is a national holiday.
