We are pleased to announce the launch of the new and improved ProvidentMetals.com. It’s chock full of goodies we know you’ll love! Our goal was to improve the experience for both desktop and mobile users, and to make it easier than ever to locate the tools and resources needed to make informed decisions.
The overhaul includes features like responsive design, faster loading pages, interactive charts and much more. We invite you to navigate and explore the new website, or feel free to read below to learn about a few of the new features.
Mobile-Friendly
Our new site is optimized for mobile at every step, from viewing top products to completing your purchase. Try it out on your tablet or smartphone! Now you can get the best deals from The People’s Bullion Dealer anytime, on any device.
Provident Alerts
When the market moves or products go on sale, you’ll be the first to know. Market Alerts notify you when metals moves up or down; Product Price Alerts monitor the sale price of your favorite products so you can buy when the price is right; and Product Stock Alerts let you know when out of stock products are available for purchase. With these new alerts, you’ll save time AND money. Learn how to set up your alerts here.
Improved Navigation
Easily browse links that are organized and prioritized to help you find what you want right away. You’ll also find that all pages load significantly faster! We’ve added buttons that link to popular items within each category as well, for convenience. A few of our loyal customers have asked that we address the navigation; we are very excited about the improvements and hope you are too.
Improved Search
Looking for something in particular? Test out the custom-built search interface in the top-right of the screen. Our new auto-suggest feature will anticipate your search and suggest products you might be looking for. There is even a drop-down to help refine your search by category.
Live Spot Price Charts
Keep tabs on the market’s every move with our new interactive spot price charts found at the top and on the right side of the home page. Check current prices at a glance or hover over the chart to find the price by minute. Click on the chart or the links at the top of every page to view intraday spot price charts and historical market movements. Check all four metals at once in the top bar drop-down.
You’ll also notice the top bar will blink red or green every 60 seconds, depending on which direction the markets are moving, giving you a quick reference for the market price. Check the spot price page for historical data or minute-by-minute 24-hour prices, with data pulled from world markets in the moment.
And More
You may notice some extras we didn’t mention above, from “trending now” products to recent news from trusted sources. We’ve also made improvements to existing areas such as the Knowledge Center, and made the most recent Provident Metals Blog articles easier to find. Some of our more seasoned customers might also see that our phone number has changed, from (877)-429-8790 to (800) 313-3315, don’t panic….the old one still works! We’re thrilled to share this upgraded shopping experience with our customers–after all, we already know you’re the smartest investors around.
If you have any questions about the new features, or notice a problem, please feel free to contact us at info@providentmetals.com, or by phone (800) 313-3315. We would love to hear from you!

I do not like this new web site. The other web site was much better – at least in my opinion.

Now it’s working! I am glad that you guys worked out the bugs…
Maybe huge discount to celebrate your new site?
One problem… I can’t make images and fonts larger or smaller using fingers…
Good job!

Thanks Jeff, that’s what we like to hear!

I am using iPad!
Just to follow up on comments I made earlier, same iPad,…. It’s sluggish …..sluggish…
I ordered few items the other night, but not as efficient as your previous site.
Example:
1. log in tab not responding soon enough
2. Scrolling page is too slow
3. Used to see gold and silver chart at the same time … Now I must click to see the other
4. Items are redundant in many places
5. Prices do not load and must hit refresh for them to load
6. Must hit icon for info and once again for All info on the product
7. Fonts are too small… Log in tab and throught websites … Also have iPhone – can’t see anything!
8….. On and on
I don’t know where provident will go from here, ,,,,,,
Simple, easy and convenience is the key in success. Convenience is where All retails are headed. Amazon is successful cause convenience with lowest price is their priority!
If you don’t have Any intention of using inputs of your customers,,, then get rid of this comments section as well.
Nothing has been changed so far!

Thanks for your thoughtful responses. We’ll pass this on to our IT department and see if we can get some remedies in the next few weeks.

Very good point. They don’t seem to care what we say, yet keep up these comments, HOWEVER, BELIEVE ME, not all of our comments are put up here. Anything too negative is taken off immediately, just like ALMOST every 1, 2 or 3 star rating/review on metals purchases. No company in the world would have that ridiculous number of 5 star ratings. Ever notice how you almost never see anything below a 4 star?
ProvidentMetals.com says
Hi Tim, we appreciate your concerns. We’d like to let you know that our IT team is working on changes based on customer concerns, but it may take awhile to develop. Furthermore, we don’t tamper with our reviews: we’re thrilled that our customers are so happy with their purchases!
Matt says
Absolutely not true Provident! I agree with Tim because on my second order I had problems and put in a review less than 4 stars and it WAS NOT posted. I have even read others on your reviews that have said the same. Generally speaking, your customer service is fine and that’s why you have had 17 orders from me in 13 months. HOWEVER, you need to be fair and put the good AND the bad. Now with this messed up website, and the fact that you just lied about what you put up and what you don’t put up on your reviews, you sure are making me want to try other sources. Just play fair, and darn it, change this website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ProvidentMetals.com says
With regard to on-site reviews Matt, there are rules if you want to have a review posted, and they have always been the same. No profanity, no promoting the competition….and the review must be specifically about the product. A product review is not useful to other customers when it’s oriented toward shipping times, customer service, conspiracy theories or other issues. Our rules have always been the same, keep it family friendly, and review the product specifically. If you have entered a review that fits within these parameters and hasn’t been shared, please let us know and we will address it. Keep in mind, there are other ways to be heard…forums, review sites, social media, etc…..

Well my timeline for my next order is within a couple days , I guess I will have to optimize a competitors website that works for me. Thanks provident we had a good relationship
tmack says
Are you planning on making the site viewable as a full site from a Mobil device. Or at least useable with a windows mobile device?
ProvidentMetals.com says
Hi tmack- We do have plans to optimize the site for windows mobile devices, but don’t have a specific timeline at this point. Thanks!
Chase says
Are you planning on a desktop version at least? I choose not to view mobile sites, I just go elsewhere.
Johnny says
why move the market price to the bottom of the screen– no good– either keep it at the top or move it over to the chart–
ProvidentMetals.com says
Hi Johnny- The current market prices can be found at the top of the screen as well as in the chart to the top-right of the front page. Thanks!
Johnny says
Hi, thanks for the reply, but on my computer the market prices are at the bottom of the screen. When the new website was launched they were at the top. I am using Google Chrome. The chart is still on the right, but for all the metals market prices they are on the bottom. Is this just me that this is happening to or are others experiencing the same thing? Its just very odd to me to have market prices listed on the bottom of the screen.
Thanks
ProvidentMetals.com says
Johnny- You’re right! Our IT department moved the bar to the bottom of the page in response to customer feedback. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks!
